Has anyone ever had a similar experience?

PC ran a "Get $100" promotion on Black Friday. Stay a weekend at a PC property and receive a $100 credit towards an airline ticket (with some complications...none of which are relevant to the matter at hand).

I registered for the promotion and my registration showed up on the My Promotions tab on manage my account. The wife and I spent a wonderful weekend at the HI Resort in Panama City Beach.

After the weekend, I checked on my promotions status and I saw that there was no sign of my ever registering for the promotion. I called up Ambassador customer relations with questions about how a promotion could have disappeared from my account. They very politely told told me that I was delusional since there is no way that a promotion could be removed after registration without leaving a record of what had been done. I also remember the HI servers having big problems during the holiday weekend.

Next time I will collect screen shots.

So the big question is:

a) Has anyone ever awoken to find that promotions that you had previously registered for were removed from your account? How did you handle it?

b) Am I delusional?

While I'm not sure that anyone here can accurately answer question B, it's very well known that the My Promos tab on Priority Club is completely pointless/worthless and displays things that haven't been active in years, while neglecting to display other relevant promos that are currently active.

When you register for promos, they send you an email. Did you happen to keep that?

I wouldn't consider it being gone as meaning there is no history of your being registered for it. Did you specifically ask CS whether they showed you as registered for this promo?

I also registered for this promo, and I don't believe it ever showed up in the promo section of the website. This promotion appears to be offered by IGH directly, as opposed to by Priority Club, similar to the Weekend Pay promotion earlier in the year. That one didn't appear in the promo section either. I would go to get100rules.ihg.com/award.php and follow the instructions to submit your claim. Be prepared, however. The Weekend Pay promotion was very difficult to collect on, so cross all your t's.

Y'know the Ambassador CSR told me that I had to register on November 28th in order to participate. She told me that she was unable to re-enroll me since registration was closed.

After my initial posting, I went back to the enrollment page:

and re-registered without problem. It sure seems like IC is experiencing a failure to communicate.

BTW, I specifically asked the CSR if she had a record of my registration. She said no. I will probably call back in a couple of days and ask the same question. I can then send her a pdf of the enrollment confirmation page.

Meanwhile, I can send in a copy of the PCB stay to the fulfillment house and see what happens in the award department.
