Avis - ORD Fleet?

I am starting to plan my business travel for 2012 and it looks like I will be heading up to ORD in January. I'll be driving down into Illinois and also up to northern Wisconsin.

I had read a rumor that ORD was going to be getting BMW X5s soon, has anyone seen them? If not, has anyone recently rented from ORD? I am wondering what type of specific Premium/Luxury/Specialty SUVs they have on the lot.

I'd like something 4 wheel drive just in case the weather gets bad.

I was there about a month ago. They had a limited fleet, but for "upscale" (in Avis eyes, at least), they had: CTS, Lincoln sedans and the new 300s. They didn't have any SUVs nearby that I saw.

I've always had very good upgrades at ORD, but have never tried to specifically get an SUV. Last time I was there I had the CTS Coupe. I passed on the 328xi because my daily driver is an M3.

I booked my reservation already and the only SUV was the Standard SUV. It said the Standard Elite, Full Size and Premium SUVs were all sold out. Any chance you have the contact info from your CC folder that you could PM to me?

That would be awesome. I tried to get Avis to give me the station manager's avis email account and had a very interesting exchange. They refused to give it to me because they said it violated the Privacy Act and couldn't give out anyone's personal information. I tried to explain that a 'work' email address is not personal, but they would only give me the location's main phone number.
