My flight to london on the next day at 7:50AM. What is the convenient place to stay and do some minor shopping if i am not tired.?
I have starwood and marriott points to spend if i have a choice. Thanks,

Get off at bangalore cantonment - it is right downtown, as is bangalore city so you're spared the wait at the cantonment station + journey to the city terminus.
There are plenty of hotels in downtown bangalore which is exactly where you are. And the place is full of shopping malls. Anything else you need to buy in bangalore can be found there or nearby, no issues.
Multiple starwoods in Bangalore - sheratons, le meridiens etc - this is a very good one. http://www.starwoodhotels.com/luxury/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=429
And the JW Marriott is in Vittal Mallya Road - that's very close to the cantonment (and to the city terminus for that matter, the two stations are half an hour apart). It is also fairly close to The Biere Club, a microbrewery with a good selection of craft wheat beers, hefwiezens, ales, stouts .. all the usual, and a quite decent mediterranean food platter.

The airport is miles out of town so you have a choice of catching one of the regular volvo buses to the airport from various points in the city (including close to both those hotels), or booking a cab from say http://www.merucabs.com/ or http://www.fasttrackcalltaxi.in/
Don't bother with the hotel car service. Just book a taxi from meru or fast track so that they land up outside the cantonment station (you'd have to walk outside and get past a cloud of autorickshaw drivers, independent taxi drivers and touts at both stations but you probably already know that).

Thank you, hserus!
Marriott is not opened at, will be opening in 2012. How about this hotel (http://www.starwoodhotels.com/preferredguest/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=3526)?
How close are Mantri like shopping malls from the hotel you mentioned?
Thanks,
hserus
