My husband and I are landing in HKG at 14:30 on Dec 23 and are due to fly out on a PR flight (separate ticket) at 21:45 later that evening. We plan to go to Hong Kong during our layover, using the Airport Express.
1. I understand that these are the options for getting our PR boarding passes:
a. Transit area E1 (may have to wait in line-up and go through security?)
b. At PR check-in desk, when we return from Hong Kong
c. Kowloon Station (I'm not 100% sure if they have PAL check-in)
Kowloon Station seems like the most viable option in terms of saving time. Can anyone confirm that PAL allows check-in here?
2. Is it reasonable to think that we can leave HKG at about 15:30, given that we have to leave our luggage at the storage facility, go through immigration and buy our Airport Express cards?
3. What's the best way to get from Temple Night Market to Kowloon Station (walk, taxi, MTR)? How long will it take?
4. We're planning to take the AE at 7 pm the latest, from Kowloon Station, arriving just before 7:30 at HKG. Is 2 hrs, 15 mins sufficient time? Do we have to go through immigration again?
Thank you!
