Virgin America Elevate - VX due for a Logo & Livery facelift?

Now that fellow Virgin Airlines: Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Australia & Virgin Samoa have updated their branding with the new type face and new liveries, is VX going to follow suite soon? If so, who are they going to follow? Virgin Atlantic or Virgin Australia, or create their own? I hope they follow VS as the VA livey looks very plain.

I don't believe they are thinking about this now.

You do realize that this would cost a lot of money, when VX is not making money?
And for what? Do you think people choose an airline based on how pretty the logo looks?
Even if they wanted to change the logo, they are not about to spend the $x millions it would cost to repaint all the planes and change everything.

Yeah, it's been four whole years, clearly the VX brand is stale and dragging the company down.
Of all the trivialities to focus on given VX's massive real problems...

Why there is no new specific route for a long time? Should VX will announced more new city in 2012?

Adding a new city costs money...and they're too busy losing money on their existing routes.

Really? Why? Why can't have expanding more new route from SFO/LAX. When they will ever try to save the money. Hope the economy will improved enough.
In addition to working toward putting a few pennies in their piggy bank, hopefully their other big focus is http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/virgin-america-elevate/1273091-virgin-americas-new-system-8.html

The economy could improve like crazy (which it won't) and VX would still be in big trouble. It doesn't know who it is or what it wants to be. It flies mainly to business centers but doesn't have the frequencies or network to win business travelers. It wastes money testing out leisure destinations that will never pay off because the yields are too thin. It has the best inflight products in the country but touches off insane, stupid sub-$100 fare wars up and down the west coast. It prices transcons at 2X to 3X the competition, though, giving legacy loyalists no incentive to sample VX. It leverages the Virgin brand which drives great loyalty worldwide but its own loyalty program is crap - stingy and pointless. It's too thin a system to be most peoples' primary airline, but they don't have the funds to expand. When they enter a new city they do it so quietly most people don't even notice (unlike Southwest, which storms into a new station like they're taking Omaha Beach).
It's tragic how VX has lost all this money with nothing to show for it. A great product and brand that have been very, very, very badly managed.

Apparently they just scored another $150 million cash infusion.

I read this as "don't expect a profit in 2012". ;)

What's wrong with it? Modern and in motion with a clean typeface.
Personally think the other virgins updated theirs too soon and ended up with an inferior look. That spartan new typeface will not age well.
