I must admit I am underwhelmed by the Alitalia CFP welcome package... a small envelope with just the card, a brochure, and the "Freccia Alata per Te" voucher.
I still recall the luggage tags and small presents we used to receive years ago :(

Amazing (for all the wrong reasons, though), mainly when you think that you get a luggage tag [and a decent welcome pack] after just 15 flights with AF-KL  The feeling with Alitalia these days is that you're doing them a favour everytime you're booked on one of their flights

Wow, what a privilege!
Last year I became Silver then I got a sad letter with a saddier Silver card and something mentioning the benefits of being Elite in ST (very funny indeed as it really give nothing!).
This year I'm even going deeper with a basic status card...what they will send me?
A paper card maybe? On February, as usual?
I never got anything in advance and I'm just upset I still have a huge amount of miles to spend with them...

Well, actually being Elite gives you a few very valuable perks, in terms of additional luggage and priority check ins.
Plus, the ability to call a normal landline as opposed to a 30 cents-per-minute line.
As for the card, you will not receive anything. You should use your Millemiglia card (or you can use your expired Ulisse card). Why should they send you a basic card?

Btw I missed something in the past but when AZ indicated 60 legs in a year as target for Club Freccia Alata (GOLD) ?
It is so since last year improvements:rolleyes: ?

It is so since they introduced the possibility to qualify by flown legs. 30-60-90
In general, that's useful only for those who fly very frequently domestically or in discounted eco fares. And if you wish to qualify by segments you're much better off with Flying Blue.
Millemiglia is much more generous with miles, particularly if flying paid C.
