Has anyone tried the Hong Kong Disney VIP package where for $3000 you can bring 6 people and there will be a personal escort to take you to the front of the line for 3 hours?

Just wondering is 3 hours meaningful and can you really do that much in 3 hours?

Thanks

Disneyland HK is so small that you should be able to ride everything in 3 hours, especially since you won't be waiting in any line.

While doing everything in 3 hours might be an exaggeration, you can easily do everything in half a day. Go on a weekday. However, paying 3K HKD just to avoid all the pushy mainlanders would make it very attractive to me.

For 3 hours only, and you will still see them after that - unless you have your own limo taking you from and to your hotel.

I heard the Disney VIP is used by mainlanders to avoid other mainlanders! :D

I thought about it too! It sounds good if no one or few people use the service.

I did the VIP package in October during the Haunted Halloween theme. It ended up being $3300 for just the 2 of us but we were on a tight schedule and 3 hours is more than enough time to cover the entire park and do every single attraction (some twice) as well as watch a show (we saw Lion King). This was before the open of Toy Story though.

Anyways, your best bang for buck is to use it on a weekend when the lines are really long. Our 'guide' (I use that term loosely since we've been to Disneyland and Disneyworld many times and just needed her for the front of line access and picture taking) told us that weekdays aren't too busy and the longest lines are no more than 20 minutes usually.

That said, the longest wait of the day was the 5 minutes in line to purchase our entrace tickets. We met the guide at City Hall and from there we went in a circle and bypassed all lines. She took us through all the back entrances/employee only doors that opened up at the front of the line. The employee immediately halted the regular line, roped it off and opened up the rope for us. They made sure we had the front row for some rides (Space Mountain) and we definitely got some stares from people and one family decided to follow us through the exit of Autopia but was stopped.

For the Lion King, they reserved the first 2 rows but once they opened the doors for general admission, WOW...a mad dash for seats and mainlanders ignored the 'reserved' signs and squeezed into any and every open space on the bench.

At the end of the tour at City Hall, they gave us some commemerative gifts and had a room where we exclusively took pictures with Mickey and Minnie. They had a pro photographer there where you could buy their pictures but also 5 others (kid you not) ready to help use your own camera.

We started at 3pm and if we wanted to stay for the night parade/fireworks, we just had to show them our bracelet and there was a special section.

Let me know if you have any more questions. I searched before and didn't find any answers. The wife doesn't like lines and it was her first time in Hong Kong so we went with all the front of the line/vip access. Worth it if you're on a tight schedule.

Does that amount include the admission, too? or is it above and beyond the admission?

I'm going to have a tight schedule, and was thinking of visiting the park on my stay...

It didn't include 1 day park admission which is only $350 I believe. So for 2 people it was an additional $700 HKD. We booked the VIP tour online and they offer specific start times. Our tour actually ended 20 minutes late because we wanted to do another ride again and the guide had no problem. Add in the exclusive meet and greet with characters and it was more of a 3.5 hour tour.
