Singapore - food around changi airport

is there any hawkers stores around changi in the mornings?

There are two food courts, one each in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 which are meant for airport staff but are open to the public (not sure about Terminal 3). Singaporeans will go to them for a last minute 'fix' of Singaporean food before they fly off; to me they feel about as hawker center-like as can be managed in an air conditioned environment.

One thing though: these food courrts are not 24/7, so depending on the hour, they may not be open when you want to go.

The foodcourt is surprisingly good. I have heard of Singaporeans actually making the trip to the airport (its not that far away anyway) for a meal, some shopping and then a walkabout.

Where are these located? I've only seen the food courts with the mostly western and other asian style foods (i.e the one with the burger king)

I'm assuming you are talking about food court in the land side...hmmm didn't see much when i was there last year...must check out again next week. i arrived at 2345

sorry on the mobile...arrive 2345 sleep in the transit hotel...connecting flight is not til 1030. i will go landside regardless just to get my passport stamped

There are food courts on the lower floors of the terminals.
They have similar food to the food courts found around Singapore.

The briyani store in T1 is actually quite good.

I believe the one in T1 is in the basement. It was also called the "staff canteen" as I think it was initially intended for the staff to have their meals there. The costs were a tad lower than the restaurants/fastfood places in the main terminal building.

This is EXACTLY the place. For not much $$, you can get a virtual buffet of local meals.
