It's not. VX points spend at 2.15 cents per point. If you're buying them at 2.6 cents per point, you're giving VX free money over the cost of fares.

Elevate's mostly for suckers, anyways: 50 points per day for an Avis rental! A rebate of a whole dollar? :rolleyes:
