JAL Mileage Bank - JAL 787 business class seats
JAL updates the booking engine to show the long-haul business class seat on 787...any guess which seat will be used? ;)
Answer can be found on my blog: http://jal-pak.blogspot.com/2011/12/jal-will-use-jal-shell-flat-neo-seats.html :p

Hopefully we'll know soon enough--I believe the first 787 is going to be delivered to JAL this month, right?
I have NRT-BOS booked in J already, so here's to hoping for a full lie flat product, aahahah. However, with that seat configuration, I'm not quite sure if that'll happen. I don't believe they'd use Sky Recliner on a flight of this length though.

We know already. Did you read the post on my blog?

I read the post on your blog and it sounds like we DON'T know.
Given the number of rows in the front cabin, it should be the JAL Skyrecliner seats. It looks more like a real longhaul product to me. But whether this is the JAL Shell Flat NEO seat or a new product is still unknown as the booking engine does not identify the seat type.

Agreed. What joejones quoted is exactly what I read. Have you updated the blog since then, JALPak?
We know the seat configuration is 2-2-2, but it seems like we don't know what seat will be used.

At least it's not the Sky Recliner. Thanks, JALPak!

I heard the GEnx certification has been delayed due to lack of production aircrafts
