Oceania (Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific) - 2 Hours in Suva or Drive to Nadi
Looking for some advice. We will be in Taveuni on our honeymoon. Coming back we have to take a morning flight, and our flight out of Nadi isn't until 8 pm. Based on air Pacific's flights, we have to fly through Suva. To connect to Nadi includes a 4 hr layover.
I'm thinking we have two options.
1) take a cab into town and explore Suva for 2 hrs
2) rent a car and drive around to Nazi
The pricing works out the same either way. Timing works as well so really looking for what would be the best experience. Any suggestions?

I always get a day room near the airport in Nadi, there are some acceptable ones with a pool and restaurant. Then, to kill time, we get a taxi driver to take us into town, there is a very nice shop with all kinds of handicrafts, t-shirts etc with very reasonable prices. All the drivers know it.

it can be a 3-4 hour drive to Nadi depending on the time of day and traffic. Road condition is pretty average in places. Nice if you have the time, but sounds like you might be pushing it.

How about a spa treatment at the Pure Fiji factory ?
Pure Fiji may be able to pick you up if you have a pre-booked spa appointment...PLUS, they will let you purchase Pure Fiji products at a discount rate. They are technically open to the public to shop on Saturdays, but will sell to spa patrons or if you know what you want (see their website), you can drop in and make a purchase. Pure Fiji is located near the Suva Golf course. Their products are outstanding !
