Hawaii - Looking for deal on Hotel in Waikiki area

We are looking for a deal on a hotel near Waikiki beach. The closer the better! We have 6 people staying, so probably 2 rooms unless there is a suite available.

We will need to stay May 13th and May 14th. I would like to be right around $100 per night. Any chance of that??? :p

Hotels.com shows several hotels in that area for under $100/night during those dates.

You can bid for a room on priceline.com if view of a parking lot doesn't matter..

For a quick query of a specific hotel, I would use www.tripadvisor.com, when researching a specific hotel, search your dates, and up to 8 websites will pop up on your browser.

Try Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. It's often in the low $100s and is right across the street from a great beach smack dab in the middle of Waikiki.

The Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach-- which is beachfront -- wonderful location right between the Royal Hawaiian and Westin Moana Surfrider is offering some incredible discounts during that time. Saw some rates in $130's. Very cheap for that hotel and location. Why?

Well . . . they are doing a renovation March 30 through June 30 and offering "renovation rates" They are resurfacing front entry and drive (they say it will be open of course during the work. It would have to be.) Resurfacing the pool deck (pool could be closed during some of that work time) And redecorating all the rooms -- upgrading sound proofing, new furniture, fixtures, etc.

So, I would say the major inconvenience could be the pool possibly closed (but the beach and ocean are steps away) and some noise connected witht the other project . . but, might be worth the savings?

Another place that often prices well is the Aston Waikiki Circle hotel. They only have two double beds in rooms, but that sounds like it'd work for you.
