Don't know if this card is new or old, but I got the newsletter today at least.

Looks quite interesting to me as a Platinum member. Free card, 20 points per 100 SEK I spend (20p per 11€). I estimate to spend about 500 000 SEK on the card per year, giving a return long haul upgrade.

Other terms also seem to be OK, with no annual charge and 60 days interest free.

Anyone have an input if this is good or bad? are there better alternatives out there?

Thanks,

The only thing I'm missing is a free spouse card... but they don't seem to offer that.

Seems like the Swedish equiv of the AY Diners Club in Finland - here it's 2 points/1€ (for Plats I think it's 3 points/€)

If you get it without an annual fee and you want to top up your AY+ account, it's an easy choice. But truth be told, I have no idea what other type of co-branded cards are on the market in Sweden.

What's the coverage of a Diner card? Is it better or worse than Amex (have bad experience of Amex coverage)?

I found out of this link:

Naturally DC coverage is nowhere near VISA/MC, especially when you go to Asia, South America, Africa etc.. The smaller the shop/restaurant/hotel the more likely you need to pull out something else.

IMO DC is fine as a second/third card (after MC and AX) but you definitely cannot get by with only DC.

I'd say DC coverage is even worse than AMEX, having both of them for long time, that's my experience.
