Hi, I am looking at booking a flight from genoa to the USA. Alitalia have a fare but it transfers in fco arriving at 8 pm at night and departing 16 hours later.
Do they provide accommodation or are we expected to wait in the terminal? Is it open 24 hours?

They're definitely not providing accommodation.. What about a train on the same day from Genova to Roma?

Actually the best thing would be a quick train to Milan and a flight from there. It's quite a long way to go down to Rome only to take a flight..

There is the Hilton Rome airport hotel if you particularly wanted to do that route.

The morning flight for GOA-FCO exists arriving at 8.05. A long layover is usually not worth it.

And in the airport there's a Hilton Garden Inn too. It's cheaper.

and there's another flight straight afterwards...

Only problem is transfering in FCO at 0800 - lots of queues at immigration..

GOA flights nearly always on time - very good punctuality (I've never been delayed..)
