New hotel in an odd location just off BR-80. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn. No restaurants/bars etc. within walking distance, but a good selection about 2 miles away down Howe.

That's not too far from my front door and I didn't even realize it was there! I'll have to stop by one day and take a look around.

the Capitol Freeway on Auburn Blvd. where
the "stroll" used to take place.

It's also priced a bit on the steep side.

Well,
The alternatives do not abound. Vagabound on Howe/Arden Poor, $75; Double tree on Arden, Old, expensive. Hilton Older and more expensive. Hampton last week cost 95.75 includes taxes. The suite shop is a nice touch too. Always a water/snack in the room, always a suite upgrade. (Diamond.)
