CommunityBuzz! - Any Interest in a Ski DO (March 2012)?

I'm thinking some sort of ski trip might be in order for March, probably the second half but maybe earlier if that worked better for people. Potential destinations towards the top of my list would include Colorado, Whistler, Europe (somewhere), or Hokkaido.

Alternately, South America in June/July...

I organized the first SkiDo on FT back in '04. We went to Vail.

I offered FTers the option of early December to take advantage of lower prices housingwise, etc, or in March. Everyone voted March - and then screamed bloody murder about the costs when it came time to book air/hotel, since it was high season.

We went anyway, people ended up sharing rooms and/or condos to keep costs down, (although organizing that was a pain), and a good time was had by all.

It's supposed to be another epic ski season this year. So I might be in. :)

Depends on when it is. My Masters ski racing season is in full swing with several major events at that time of year.

I saw something in the European travel section about Innsbruck in March-April timeframe.
