Hey all,
Looking for a new destination in the carribbean to vacation this February.
Traveling with 6 month pregnant wife, 13 yr old son, and 8 month old daughter.
Looking for great beach, pools, family oriented.
We've done various Mexico, Aruba, and Jamaica. Considering Barbados, Punta Cana, and possibly Grand Camen. Others that we should look at?
All inclusive would be great, if not AI, somewhere that we're not going to spend a million on food..
I would ideally like to stay within Marriott, Hilton, SPG, or ICH hotels - may be able to pay for most with points.
Suggestions with my thoughts, or new ones are Greatly appreciatd!

It's expensive but I dont think anymore for food then some others on the list, but I would suggest Grand Caymen. Good medical care also in case of emergency.
It is our favorite place...there is a Marriott, Ritz and Westin all available on points (though not sure about Feb with high demand). Would need to check exact dates.

Thanks PWM - I was actually looking at the Ritz - Looks Beautiful! I got scared after reading some reviews talking about $30 cheeseburgers, and $18 for an orange juice! Have you stayed here? Was food astronomical??

I have not stayed at the Ritz. I have only stayed at the Marriott. The Marriott is a hotel, not a big resort, that is why we like it. Smaller type - still very nice. Fantastic snorkeling right off the beach. Also, it is on the southern end of 7 mile, so you can walk to a bunch of places very easily.
The real nice restaurants are of course NYC expensive, but many options exist - even fast food (BK, Wendy's) if need to stay on budget. I would highly recommend a car in GCM, it is easy to drive and taxis are expensive.
Here are some moderate priced restaurants that I have eaten at:

Of course, many more exist, I just provided some so you could look at the menus and corresponding prices.
Any questions, let me know. We love it there...
