Credit Card Programs - Using Ultimate Reward point to purchase airline tickets

Hi, does anyone know, would it be consider the ticket as a purchase ticket if I buy the ticket using the Chase Ultimate Rewards Points via cChase websight? If so, I would assume I would get EQM for the flight...is that right? Many thanks in advance :)

I've purchased tickets through the UR website using points twice in the last few months and both have counted for "butt in seat" qualifying miles. That being said, I don't know if anyone can guarantee it 100%.

To the airlines those tickets are the same as cash, so they are eligible to earn miles just the same as tickets paid for with cash.

You mean, I can still use miles and cash to get upgrades? I am flying Continental from EWR to PVG and want to be upgraded to Business First. and How do I put my Frequent Flyer number to associate with the ticket from Ultimate Rewards?
