American Airlines filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy; they're the only legacy who has not, until now.

I believe they'll make it through, but it'll take time and some changes.

It's their turn alright.

IMO AA has been left in a pretty lonely place right now, being the only airline in the alliance (DL is a loner too but they are really DL+NW). With so much consolidation going on I wouldn't be surprised if the investors nudged them to seek a partner in the US.
