Looking for upright that is as close to 22" x 14" x 9" as possible (need to maximize capacity) including the wheels and handles that is lightweight. Local store carries the Antler New Size Xero that I really like except that it is not expandable. It is the only Antler they carry; no other stores in state carry it.
Lightweight with maximum capacity is main objective. It is appears that Antler is a reliable brand and I won't have to worry about the wheels, etc.
The other need is to be able to put a 13" laptop into the front zippered section.
other brands are okay, but I spent quite a while in Macy's and Samsonite with tape measure, and none of the bags met the measurements and weight requirements. Most manufacturers measure the body of the suitcase, not including the wheels and handles. would need to move to 20" to meet size requirement, but then the capacity suffers a lot. Hard case is not an option at this time. The new Rimowa with the fabric zipper front is interesting but out of price range (plus the weight and styling suffers with the addition).
