SkyTeam - Time to receive new level loyalty card?

We all sure love our cards, and even more the "exclusive" ones - hence my question :-)

I became FB Platinum a few weeks ago. Yey - nothing special for my fellow FFers though but a small "personal achievement" ;-)
So, I was wondering, does anyone know when my new card + luggage tags would arrive? What is typically the lead time? Gold was so long ago I don't remember...

The latest and the newest feature of Delta Elite status is that Delta guarantees that your Elite Luggage tags and the card will never be separated from your luggage. ;)

If you have flown three or more sectors, you can get your card(s) before you even fly those three sectors. :D

Hi where can you print off a temporary card on the KLM or Air France site.

I finally found the option in lost cards :)

Still no sign of it, however Im travelling back today and then.........3,5 weeks at home! How rare is that ;-) Status upgrades coming through already though, auto-upgrade Delta inside the US - that's why I fly them instead of Continental (ok, and the wifi).

Depends on location. Can be very long though, with me it lasted over a month.

I requalified for FBP in March. Still no new card or new luggage tags. I'm sure I'll get it by 2014 or so.

How long it takes to receive the new card depends on your FF program and your location. In the meantime, your account should show the new status for privileges like booking special seats, including EC on KLM and DL. Print the card and a copy of your account summary showing the status. Carry these hard copies with you for elite line access and lounges, but YMMV. Some places will insist on the physical card.

With Flying Blue, I would wait for 6 weeks and, if the card has not arrived yet, give them a call and ask for a replacement card.

Just for information, I received the card after 4 weeks
