I'm about to book a few roundtrips LHR-ICN. As I prefer to fly with *A and have to travel in Economy, my preference has always been the non-stop on OZ, and I've always been able to find a keenly priced ticket. However, the only fares available between Christmas and June are:

H (minimum stay six nights) £1,379 + tax
M (minimum stay five nights) £1,897 + tax
Y £4,115 + tax

No discounted/restricted fares in premium cabins - just the full C and F fares (which is funny as they don't even offer F on this route anymore).

The lowest fare on LH is £300 + tax (although you need to fork out £400 for one that earns miles). What's going on here? Is OZ determined to price themselves out of the market? Or do they prefer to dump all their seats via bucket shops (I notice that Expedia has a "special fare" - in which booking class and with which mileage earning I don't know, of course). Or do they just have an utterly incompetent revenue department? I notice on Expertflyer that class availability on the dates that I'm interested in is C9 D9 J5 Z7 Y9 B9 M9 H9 E9 Q9 L9 K9 V9 S9 W9 T0 G0. Given that no fare is offered in D, J, Z, E, Q, L, K, V, S, or W, I'm not surprised they haven't sold the seats!

Are you lookijng at an economy ticket that earns full miles, or any economy ticket?

I just tried some random dates and got

London , United Kingdom
Seoul , Korea, Republic of

Dates:
Wed 25 January 12
Fri 24 February 12
1 Adult 0 Child0 Infant

Economy :1 Adult(s), 0 Child(ren), 0 Infant(s)

Total

£ 687.82 GBP

Total for all passengers incl. tax and booking fee

As they have just increase the frequency of these flights to one a day, then I don't think they're having too much trouble with revenue.

Odd. When searching with flexible dates on flyasiana.com, I get
"The following error(s) occured
We are unable to find recommendations for your search. Please change your search criteria and resubmit the search. (66002 [-1])"

If I then click on "Search by dates" (using yours), I see the flights, but get

"The following error(s) occured
Not all flights have seats available for the price option you have selected. Please press Back to select another option to price your itinerary or change your flight selection. (4502 - 2200)".

But yes, by entering your dates into the fare search on Expertflyer I can see the full range, starting with Q priced at £490 + tax. These fares have now also reappeared for my dates (and the minimum stay requirements have disappeared for all of them), unlike an hour ago. Guess it must have been a temporary glitch - maybe they were updating their fares just when I checked.

I gave up using the Asiana website a long time ago. Now I just call them when I want to book a ticket.

Luckily the quality of the Asiana flying experience is inversely proportional to the quality of their (English) website.
