I am considering signing up for Aegean, but just wanted to check that its possible to make *A Silver (the Aegean Blue Card) without any trips on Aegean metal?

My *A flying would be primarily BD (but not enought to ever make DC silver), possibly some LX or LH.

I suppose worst case scenario I'll have to take a trip to Greece...:D

Correct. No flights on A3 metal are required in order to make Silver or Gold.

For some airlines they require you to fly their own flights for one or more times within the 12 months to be able to qualify for status. I wonder if it's the case with Aegean, or it doesn't matter as long as they are *A flights?

Quick answer is no. A3 requires you credit all flights to A3 that you use benefits from (ie lounge access). You must post activity within a 12 month period or the account will lapse.

I don't think we have seen any evidence of this, and this is not what the programme T&Cs actually state.

This discussion keeps coming up - and there is no definitive answer. Please don't discuss it on this thread, as it is off topic.

Also off topic, but do we know that it's activity every year rather than every three years after attaining Gold to keep the account active?

No.

But better safe than sorry.
