I'll be staying here Saturday and was wondering what to expect(or not to expect-I'm lowly GLD). I'll give a full report when I return on Sunday.

Cookie-cutter HGI property... fairly new & clean. Fridge and coffee maker in the room, standard HGI restaurant & pantry.

Small workout room w/ (3) pieces of equipment, small pool.

Find something to eat before you get to the hotel, there aren't any restaraunts close by, that is unless the Wendy's down the road counts http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Nice hotel. I've stayed there many times. However, I've never had any special accommodation at ANY HGI (and I've been Diamond for years). I don't think they have any rooms which vary from the status quo. You do get a free bottle of water from the pantry. Enjoy.
Ditto on that advice for the food - eat before you arrive.

Most HGI's have "parlor suites", which are about 30% "longer" than regular rooms, and have a small living room with a desk, couch, and second TV. FWIW, HGI Franklin Square in Washington, DC always upgrades me to such "suites" as a Diamond.

Thanks for this post. I just made two reservations here for a just in case room for my mileage runs to BWI. I cxld my Sheraton BWI reservations. The Sheraton has a 4pm day of cxl policy and the HGI has a 6pm. Thanks again
