I need to close a gap on a ST rtw ticket in business class, for DEL-NRT.
The options I am getting that work for my timing are, MU thru pvg or CZ thru can. KE schedule doesn't work on the day in question, and MH thru KUL arrives too late in NRT as does DL thru SIN.
I would be on an overnight flight and would want a quality seat and an arrivals lounge with shower at PVG or CAN, will I get that? For about the same price I can buy by segment instead of rtw and fly CX, JL or OZ on this segment, which I know have decent sears and showers.
Any thoughts?

Your post exposes major gap in the alliance. The Skyteam TraveDesk too comes with MU or CZ

MU's service on PVG-NRT is surprisingly good (one of the very few feathers in MU's cap), but I can all but assure you that you wouldn't be showering in Shanghai. It's been a while, but I think CZ does have showers in its international lounge (on departure level).

If money were no no object, I'd go with JL in a heartbeat. Otherwise, Air India can't be any worse than MU or CZ (when you take the nonstop factor into account).

ETA: Just out of curiosity, I priced DEL-ICN to see if the JL fare would be more reasonable using NRT as a hidden city, and it sure is... only $100 more than AI ($1300).
