Flight distance are for each segment in your itinerary and not for the itinerary. Example, for DTW-ORD-LAS award, which comes to 235+1514 miles for a total of 1749 miles will be charged 4,500+10,000 miles for a total of 14,500 miles one-way and not 10,000 for the total distance traveled.

Something does not match between the table and the webpage:

If I check MIA-LAX (2342 Mi) return non-stop in AA (Business) it quotes me a total of 88500 Avios points, so 44250 Avios per leg and not 25000 as per the table.

Did I do something wrong or is this another reason to move all the Avios to BA asap?

I believe you can only fly MIA-LAX in either Economy or First. BA calculator shows 37,500 each way.

First was even more and it quoted me the direct flight with AA so no possible mistake. I tend to believe that IB is not as generous with its Avios as BA.
