Thailand - 4 nights to split between Millennium Hilton and Conrad BKK

I have an upcoming 4-night trip in early December to BKK and have stayed at the Millennium Hilton in the past (and really liked it). I'm considering splitting this trip between the Hilton and the Conrad for various reasons (to try the Conrad, and because I need another Hilton stay to keep HHonors Gold, and because the Conrad offers points + money stays for my dates to reduce the cost if desired).
With that in mind, which would you go to first? And split the stay 2 and 2?
Or just pick one? If staying all 4 nights at one, I'd probably go with the Hilton given I'm already familiar with it, it's cheaper, and I like the proximity to the BTS and the Chao Praya boat routes.
But I'm open to suggestions from more experienced BKK travelers.

While using points you can get an Executive Suite at Millenium Hilton for the same amount of points you get a standard room at Conrad.
That would be the breaker for me ...

I have stayed at both properties last year. I would suggest you stay at Millennium first and then Conrad BKK. While I really like the river view of Millennium, the location is little to far for shopping and dining. If you have time, you can take the Hotel ferry and BTS. But it will take a while to wait for the ferry.
The location of Conrad BKK is excellent, it is right next to the shopping mall with lots of shops and restaurants. Plus on the day you return home, I think it is a little quicker to the airport from Conrad.
Hope it helps.

Hilton does not appear to be all that much cheaper this time during Dec Sale. It's at (before taxes) 3,752B and Conrad's at 3,886B. The Hilton has better rooms and view, the Conrad's furnishings seem a little more worn. Although the rooms are smaller at the Hilton, I like how they manage the space between work desk and bed. Bed faces the windows - nothing like waking up to a good view of the river.
If it were up to me, between them, it depends if you want to be out and about much (Conrad) or you want to mostly just hide yourself away in the hotel (Hilton).
Thanks for the suggestions, all.
I decided to avoid the complications of moving between the two hotels during the trip (given it's a short one; yeah, I know, it's just a taxi ride, but still I'm maximizing my time available for getting out and about) and went with the Millennium.
I don't mind waiting for the ferry and do really like the river view; I'll give the Conrad a try next time in town.

This describes their upgraded room type, not the standard room.
I love the use of space in the room type that a Gold or Diamond will get. But, the standard room type at the Hilton is standard and not the best use of space... boring would best describe it.
I had stayed dozens of times until I even knew what the standard room looked like, when I dropped status levels.
Just a 'beware'... If the OP is not eligible for an upgraded room type, they may want to pay a bit more for the Exec room (or higher).

I'm a HHonors Gold, so no worries. Had no problems upgrading last time I was in BKK around this time of year (and the two different floors I stayed on seemed at least 50% empty); fingers crossed for a repeat.
