**Choice will honor a lower publicly available rate on a non-Choice branded website ("Competing Rate") plus give you a free night.**
What exactly is meant under this "free night"? Is it in the form of points or a certificate? How much points? And if a certificate, what is it good for?
Any restrictions on how often you can submit the claim? (For example IHG has a 30 days for a claim restriction).

I understood that they give you a free night in your stay. For example if your stay is 3 days long you'll pay for 2 nights (at the lower rate). I suppose if you just stay one night you don't pay anything.
Free night?
I found a room for that is cheaper, but the T&Cs only show that you get matched and 10% off

No mention of a free room. Damn I thought I could get a free room + hopefully stay credits. Need 3 more for the year!

Can you tell us where you found this?

I have noticed TWO different Best Internet Rate Guarantee offerings at Choice Hotels.
One some occasions, the 10% off the lower competing rate offer appears. On other occasions the guarantee talks of the first night free and remaining nights matched at the lower competing rate.
I have spoken to 'customer services' and they couldn't explain why it was possible to view two entirely different BRG schemes. They advised me to send an email in to customer_feedback@choicehotels.com to point out what I had observed. I attached screenshots as well. I did this over one week ago, but no response as yet.
Anybody had any experience making a claim under either of these BRG schemes? And which one is it that they are honouring?

Could you attach the screenshot of the free night offer? and also where you found it?

I wonder if they are considering changing their BRG due to IHG's new BRG, and the OP somehow stumbled across a page that wasn't supposed to be published yet.

I would gladly attach a screenshot, but I am not sure how to attach saved images to messages in this forum.
I viewed the Best Internet Rate Guarantee on the homepage of choicehotels.

It's right there on the homepage, just go to the US site.

The link I see on the main page is to http://www.choicehotels.com/en/bestrate
That page just talks about the 10% off.
Thanks for your link, which does indeed show the free night bit.
