Classica 293 seats, rows 18 through 44, 3-4-3 even if it shows as... 2-5-1-2 :D

Yuck! What is that, first class? They could have done it as 2-2-2 and it would still have been more spacious than most airlines.

Also, which seat maps are you referring to? On the AZ website for S12 flights the seat maps suggest 2-2-2 both in J and in Y+, and 3-3-3 in Y, although this is just the current configuration with rows 10 and 11 converted from J to Y+.

Oh and how does 30 seats work in 7×4? That's to say as far as I know there are seven rows (1-2-3-4-9-10-11) to be used, so where are the two extra seats?

LAX will be back in S12, but from Rome. Actually, the flight is already uploaded in the GDS!

I can suggest you to check for yourself the maps. Just search FCO-LAX on july or so, and click on the seat availability diagram :)

Hm, I'd tried that for May and it gave me the configurations I posted. Now that I've tried it for July on LAX route, it is confirmed:
J: 1-2-1, with a new row added, so either less legroom or a smaller galley or something like that.
Y+: 2-4-2.
Y: 2-5-1-2, presumably 3-4-3, with the same number of rows as there are currently.

So in general the product became worse with far less available J seats and dreadful Y seats.

Well, actually, 1-2-1 in J will make it a very, very spacious cabin!

Less seats of course, but I don't see why worse.

On Y, I concur. We'll see how bad it is.

I copied that from somewhere back then, but evidently it is a typo. Phew :-)

A friend spotted that the Y entertainment system looks like the old one. I hope they did not do the silly choice to keep that instead of the wonderful A330 entertainment system.

The 'new' screens and the old screens are alike. I wonder whether they have managed to get rid or downsize the IFE box.
