This is touched upon in the threads about the brand and new business class product, but I thought it was worth a thread about IAG and Iberia's plans for the Madrid hub, its network and products.

Slide presentation (slide 168 onwards):

Presentation transcript (page 60 onwards):

The key points are:

- Proposed redmodelling of Iberia's long haul business class and economy products

- Improve performance of Madrid hub: better punctuality; reduce MCT by 10 mins

- A340-300s to be retired as soon as practicable

- A340-600s to be refurbished over a two period

- Iberia Express will operate independently of Iberia with is own management and CEO. Economy and business class will be different from Iberia mainline

- Long term plan to capture traffic from Asia to Latin America via Madrid.
