I am looking at discounted business international class travel to South America. So far, TACA has the cheapest tickets but I have read that TACA is the worst airline to use and that business class in TACA sucks. Any ideas what airlines offer best deals and quality for business class to Argentina? I don't want to sit in the fetal position for a 14+ hour flight out of San Francisco to Buenos Aires.

TACA does not suck. It's somewhat disorganized, as is COPA and LAN, something one would expect with Latin American carriers.
TACA's FC is same as CO's domestic FC - nothing special, but a lot more room and recline than coach. Believe LAN's int'l FC is supposed to be pretty nice - walked by it on the way to the back, but I'm sure it's priced accordingly.
BTW, just had my first experience on fairly famous Thai Airways in Business Class, and I was underwhelmed. While they did have four FAs on the upper deck, service seemed quite ordinary, not the "smooth as silk." And still only a recliner seat, again nothing special :(
Back to your topic. Traveling to South America is quite expenive, so I would think biz would be even more - as expensive as coach is haven't bothered to price it. If you just want more room, I suggest CO or UA where you can purchase exit row seats as non elite. UA has E+ seating for purchase with a few extra inches so you don't have to be in a fetal position.
