im on the phone with them right now, even thought my 'As and A3 are on the boarding passes no miles were credited, they said it would take 1 month to get them there, I really dont understand where to problem is... getting second thoughts about switching if this will be a constant even when card is in the reservation! I wonder what the problem is?

My flights with SQ (8 separate fights) posted within 1-2 days of flying. The numbers were in the bookings. Maybe it depends from airline partner to partner? One month sounds like a long time to wait for miles to show.

yes 1 month is a long time especially if that flight is to make you *G :) we will see :)

One month a long time? :D:D:D You most obviously never had to deal with FB or M&M and retroactive miles credit. For example, only yesterday, i.e. 2.5 months later, did FB credit miles that they had taken away from my account in December (other story, not relevant here).

I looked through M&B's web site regarding retroactive crediting of miles already flown, but all I could find is that you couldn't credit miles flown before A3 joined Star.

1) Can I credit miles flown before I officially joined M&B to A3 instead of AC?

2) If so, is there a limit how far back AC will "uncredit" my miles and let me change them to A3?

Thanks!

no change to the miles once they are in an account.

1) yes, you may retro credit up to 6 months prior to your joining date according to T&C (http://en.aegeanair.com/milesandbonus/program-description/terms-conditions/). You might have to provide "physical evidence" like boarding passes.

AC (Or any other airline) will refuse to "uncredit" miles. Why would they give away revenue like that?

The exception is where you have proof - if you change the FFP on your boarding pass, and the earlier one credits (yeah, I'm looking at you, Lufthansa!), you can often be successful if gaining credit if your BP has the new number on it.

However, in general, you cannot reverse crediting.

I just retro-credited several flights for a family member and it is indeed a drawn-out process. They say it takes two weeks to process a request and another to actually go ahead and credit the account.

So far, a CO flight, submitted the same time, processed a week faster than a United flight and a United Express flight hasn't posted at all...

As mentioned before the claim is 2 weeks to contact the other airline to check you were on the flight and then 2 weeks to post.

I've been having a long drawn out process with Aegean to get miles credited for flights flown South African Airways in August.

For some reason they credited half the flights I took but not the others so I had to make a claim. They then said that SAA had no record of me on the flight so I faxed and emailed them boarding cards and got no response. I then contacted SAA who confirmed I was indeed on the flights which I've now forwarded to Aegean. Still waiting.

I can't say I'm impressed with their customer service, at no stage do I ever get a confirmation of my correspondence and phone calls lead to a very pleasant message of we are sorting it out.

My wife's points on the other hand credited within days of the flights.

My miles were posted 4 weeks after retro active claims for flights like 5 months before the date I claimed.

I recently submitted a retro claim through their online form. No physical documentation was requested - just ticket info. It took maybe a week for the process to give credit for united express flight credited to A3. I had switched it at checkin to A3, and for some reason only 1 segment of 2 credited properly. Perhaps this made the claim process go more rapidly.

Congratulation on the new forum! A3 is indeed an amazing programme!

Being inspired by this forum, I have registered A3 member on 27 Nov and credit some miles from a trip on CA in August, it told me they need 4 weeks for the miles to show up.

I just checked it today, all the claims have gone through, and it has shown a 'card upgrade' on 1 Dec, which means only 4 days for them to do all the work!! This is truly amazing! I'm still waiting for a claim from QF after requesting in Early October!

I'm now only 10k away from gold, and looking forward to my *G after my Jan trip!

In Feb I flew SAA JFK-CPT, made sure my Agean # was included on boarding pass & mileage was never credited.

After several calls to SAA and emails to Agean's advertising dept (no other email addresses were listed on website) I discovered it wasn't credited b/c My ticket included my middle name, whereas A3 had first & last only.

I was told to open a new account with middle name included, but then they credited me only for segments within S. Africa (to both accounts).

I have since tried requesting the other flights numerous times, and have never received a response. My miles they did credit are set to expire soon & I have no idea how to get my miles credited (which would make me Int'l Gold).

Any ideas? Doeas anyone know an actual CS email address I can try?

Maybe you did this, but as it is not mentioned in your post I will recommend that you start by investigating if the ticket class is eligible for accrual. There are quite a few classes that don't earn at all.

Most reports I've seen on FT are talking about using the "Claim air miles" function on the member page, and that it worked well. A few reports talk about long waiting time, and when they conctact customer service, they get information about the status of the case (often "the *A partner have not yet confirmed and therefore nothing is posted").

So if you still have trouble I suggest giving customer service a call.
They have not published an email address for customer service, so even if you did find one, I doubt that it will be of any use to you. Especially if there are issues with different name on boarding pass and FF-accout and/or you have duplicate accounts, I don't think this will be sorted unless you speak to them.

No.

They don't fly to North America, why would you expect one?

I discovered it wasn't credited b/c My ticket included my middle name, whereas A3 had first & last only.

Unfortunately, I am also facing the same problem as you.

I travelled on SQ LHR-SIN-LHR on W-class for both segments. The outbound was credited automatically in 3 days without a hitch, but the return failed to credit despite scanning the boarding passes to M&B and speaking to the Call Centre personnel. The only answer I get is that 'the carrier has yet to reply'. It's been almost 2 months since by first retroactive claim.

This is the first time A3 has given me a problem as I have always inluded my middle names on my boarding passes, when A3 only has my first and last name on record.

Its good to see forummers getting credit for flights they have taken. A3 hasn't even gotten back to me! Looks like I'll have to call them. Is it the Greek number listed on their website?

Very interesting! I have exactly the same experience: flown SAA in November and back in December. No miles credited despite A3 FFP number is on boarding card. M&B says SAA has no record of me flying! Contacted SAA who confirmed that I was on the plane and that miles should be credited... Sent copies of boarding card stubs, forwarded email from SAA etc - NO REPLY, nor any miles credited yet.
Not impressed by the service, I would have been *G for my return trip in December... instead, no lounge access.

Here is an update. I have contacted M&B by phone, send flight details and boarding card stubs and SAA confirmation that I was on the flights by email and fax. Was promised swift action... Still no miles credited to my account. It is now almost 3 months that I have accrued *G status on A3, yet the miles from October and December have still not posted, hence I have no official *G status.
I wonder if the few people in the Athens office are just overwhelmed by the number of new A3 members...?

I doubt it. What is more likely is that South African has not yet responded to the query that A3 has sent, and A3 hasn't bothered to follow up.

This following up will not happen until you give them a call and demand that it happens.

All this trouble with miles posting to A3 from SAA has me quite concerned. I specifically booked Q-class so that I could accrue status miles and make *G on my upcoming trip (YYZ-LHR-LNB-PLZ). I had to go through some trouble to book these flights and actually booked 2 tickets so I could get Q-class on SAA.

The last time I flew SAA the miles didn't post to AE either. Had to send in BP and wait almost 2 months for the miles to post.:td:

Hope I have better luck this time!

Hi,

I have to retrocredit some miles for two US flights. Unfortunately, Reno airport is not available in the menu and if I enter it it will end in an error message.
What should I do that they add the airport? Contact them by email or give them call?

Thank you in advance

Wanted to give you guys a heads up on the airport issue.
I contacted A3 via the contact form on their page. Unfortunately you don't get an email confirmation so you never know if they received it or not. Anyway, after a week I got the response that the airport is now in the system available and ready to go.
These guys and girls there are great. So thumbs up for this fast and easy solution.
