Africa - Buying grocers, alcohol upon arrival in Seychelles?

My wife and I plan to visit the Seychelles next year, with most likely our first stop being the Hilton Labriz on Silhouette Island before going on to the Hilton Northolme. While we'll partake of the hotel food, we'd also like to buy snacks, perhaps other food, alcohol, wine, etc. after arriving in Mahe and before going to the jetty to take the boat transfer to Silhouette.

So, some questions:

1. Am I correct in assuming that upon arrival we can get a taxi that would stop off at a store, wait for about 20 minutes, and then take us to the jetty?
2. If so, are there any particular stores that folks suggest we have the taxi take us to? And if we buy the wine and alcohol in Dubai before getting on the plane, does that influence your recommendation of which store we should go to?
3. About how much should we expect to pay the taxi? Am I correct in assuming that we should negotiate a bit?
4. Am I also correct in assuming that we can go into the store but safely leave our luggage in the taxi (though taking our wallets and passports with us)?
5. There's a chance we'll arrive on an early flight at about 6:45 a.m. If so, what time do stores open and is there a place you'd suggest we go for breakfast/coffee before that time?
