Now that EY has its own forum, it seems like a good time to start a lounge meet-up thread. Here it is.

To keep things clear and concise, I would suggest the following:

- post in this thread only, to keep everything in one place;

- mention your arrival and departure times, or alternatively the times you'd be happy to meet up;

- mention which lounge you are planning to be in, from the following current possibilities:

T1 Al Reem
T1 Pearl Business Class
T1 Diamond First Class
T3 Pearl Business Class
T3 Diamond Business Class
T3 VVIP room


- give us a hint of how to identify you in the lounge, i.e. "I'm the 30-something bearded guy in the cigar lounge with a Macbook Air".

Hello Everyone,

I'll be in AUH this Tuesday 20th Dec. Arriving from JFK at 19.45 and will be departing to MAA at 22.25.

Thinking of hanging out at T3 Pearl lounge for a while, before heading over to the next flight.

I'm in my early twenties, Indian guy. I'll mostly be wearing a white or cream shirt and will be carrying a black backpack.

T3 F tomorrow; somewhere between a late checkout at Yas Island around 18:00 and EY602 AUH-CPT at 22:10.

I'll try to take my usual spot at the head of the glass table if it is free; will likely alternate between there and the cigar lounge.

I'll be in the AUH T3 Pearl Business Class lounge on the 27th of January between about 6am and 8am, and again on February 15th between about 8pm and 10pm. I'm a 6'4" white guy with short dark hair and will most likely be in a polo shirt and looking slightly frazzled as I'm connecting off of ultra long-haul flights.

If any Gold Elite members wanted to guest me into the First lounge that'd be very much appreciated too ;)

Hey I'm flying SYD-DUB on Wednesday and have a 2 hour lay over in AUH.

I'm Velocity Gold, so I'll only have Al Reem access I believe.

I'm happy to comp someone into the lounge if I have time to go.

I understand the Al Reem lounge isn't in the terminal European flights depart from and I have to go through security to get to the right terminal?

If that's true, how long will I need to give myself (ie. how long will I have in the lounge between flights?).

I'd be more worried about having to treck within T3 to one of those distant gates than transferring between T3 and T1 (except for those long security lines).
Think of the walk between T3 and T1 more like kerbside to that circular court in SYD Qantas terminal.

There can be longish security queues at the point between T1 and T3, but there is a little-known gold fast-lane entrance at the very back of the queue next to the wall. Look out for the tall circular post saying EY Gold and Biz, and enter to the left of it. You'll sort of feel that you are going outside of the ropes, but you'll see you bypass the whole regular queue that way, arriving at the left-most security checkpoint.

Will be at T3 Abu Dhabi on Thursday morning 22nd March arriving 07.10 before I go on to JNB at 10.35. If anyone fancies taking pity on me and guesting me into a lounge I would be grateful. ;)

I will be in a wheelchair, with a flower pattern walking stick, dark shoulder length hair and black rimmed glasses.

I will be travelling homeward bound on the evening of Easter Sunday arrive at AUH at 19.45 and have to wait until 2.30 AM for my flight home.....

Not sure what the admittance policy is, but two of us (non-EY Status holders) will be at the T3 F lounge on Friday, April 6th from 15:15 until 21:00 (before our F flight to SYD).
Would be happy to guest in a person or two, if we're allowed a guest as F pax.

I will be at AUH biz lounge terminal 3 on April 18th 7:30pm to 9:45pm. Returning the the same lounge on May 5th 6:30 am to 10 Am. Happy to meet and greet other EY members.

I'll be transiting through AUH on Tuesday. In Y, but VA Plats get access to the Business lounge. Anything to look out for? I've got almost 2hrs between flights, so hoping there won't be a wait to grab a shower.

Good booze selection? I'm starting to regret not maintaining OWE - I'll miss the Johnnie Blue at BA GF lounges.

Very much depends on what time of day you'll be there. There's a rush around the 6pm mark, and another one around the midnight-1am mark; other times it's super quiet

Arrival is 6.40am, so hopefully that means it's relatively quiet. Couple of hours should be enough time to grab a shower and a quick bite to eat. Presumably Scotch will be cheaper in duty free at AUH than LHR, so will spare a few minutes for that.

Wil bel in Pearl Business lounge on 04 January from 03:00 a.m ( flight from IST) till 10:45 (flight to SYD).

i'll be in the business lounge on 26th of October coming from Brussels and arriving at 8pm, will depart to Seoul at 10.20pm.
Is the shower and massage for free for Business class passengers?

Flying AUH-ORD October 22, Departs around 09:30am, so will be there about 2 hours before.

Flying DUB-AUH-NBO on 8-9 Nov, will be in AUH Term 3 business lounge from about 0720-0920 on 9 Nov.

Flying AUH-MEL in Pearl Business (Unless an O seat comes up before then) on December 16th at 2230...will probably be at the lounge about 2100 unless I get weary of wandering around Abu Dhabi all day and I'm there earlier.

I'll probably still have a greasy moustache then as I became a little attached to my movember effort. But then again that's probably not a distinguishing feature in AUH!

Transiting through AUH on EY031 December 29th 2012, will be arriving AUH airport around 4 and half hour before depature from BOM. Happy to be guest with wife in any lounge since will be landing AUH after 2 flights and still have a long flight to go!

by the way, any decent lounge we can access by paying a small fees?
