Hi Guys

Two quick questions

1. I will be travelling back from Asia soon with Qatar on a business class flight from Hanoi. The flight goes via Bangkok and Doha. Does anyone know who has done this if we will need to change plans and exit the aircraft in Bangkok - I think it is just to pick up additional passangers.

2. I have seen this flight both being on a 777 or a330 - any one know which is the more common plane in use?

Cheers

Given it's the same plane used to Bangkok, I would say most likely a 777 as I believe the 777 is used most of the time, even on that late flight, though it may be a 777-200LR rather than the -300ER used on the other busier flights.

Not sure if you have to deplane at Bangkok, but I don't believe so. I think there is a previous thread asking the same question...

Usually a 777. No idea about the connecting flight though.

Here's the thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar-airways-privilege-club/1227014-qatar-business-class-not-5-star-do-not-fly.html

On the return we had to stop in Bangkok (QR617/1MAY), which is fine. However all the Economyclass passengers boarded though the front door and had to cross the business class. This was at around 2AM. It was terrible to be half asleep with all the economy travellers staring at us. It’s very unfortunate to have the economy class passenger walking though the sleepy business class instead of using the door between the 2 classes. The business class passengers that boarded in Bangkok where also disturbed by these passengers when they were trying to settle in their seats and store their luggage.

So, looks like you can stay onboard, but may get disturbed...
