Does any one know of an Avis promo for Delta or Usairways? I am missing the long running 3,000 miles for a 3 day rental. 6,000 miles a week is tough to give up.

No, only for Club Carlson (hotel program, most regions of the world but Europe blackout Jul/Aug), Southwest Airlines (USA rentals only), Air Canada (USA/Canada rentals only), and US Airways (USA/Canada rentals only), per this site, which tends to list most offers:

(Unfortunately, Club Carlson doesn't have a very good conversion rate to airlines, so if you're not interested in Club Carlson points for hotel stays, that's not likely to help you.)

I was doing some searching and came across this Avis code (on a different travel forum) for AA that supposedly doesn't expire until 8/31/12, but I couldn't find confirmation anywhere else of the promotion. And 5K miles for 3 days seems too good to be true.

For those still watching this thread, some advice: I'd strongly suggest sticking with Avis instead of Budget. If Budget comes in cheaper, weigh that against the monumental problems (miles/points coming through) that have occurred with Budget partner promos.

Budget's mileage award isn't as generous anyways and yes, consider that if posting miles in the past has been a pain. But now Budget has a new promo going month farther than Avis 2 days 2K miles,3 days 3K so on up to 10K miles for 10 day rental with all rentals starting by 9/30. A/port locations only I posted thread w/promo link in Budget forum.
