Other Car Rental Programs (ie. Alamo, Enterprise) - Alamo, Enterprise or Budget?

Appreciably better experiences at one or another? I've had more mixed experiences with Budget but I"ve rented more from them and the worst experiences were at franchises vs. airport locations Used Enterprise just a couple of times (in part because they discourage one-way rentals with higher rates), but I do remember a USAA rep once telling me that Enterprise was good on resolution of any disputes regarding damages. I recall using Alamo just once, in Sacramento, and the experience was just fine (got a Dodge Charter as a full-size car), though I've read some negative reviews of the company. Renting either in Charlotte or Greenville, Budget is the only one that would charge more for an additional driver even if it was my spouse (the rep at CLT said the charge was $13.99 a day with a max per rental of $99, though the Web site says the max charge is $65).
For picking up at CLT and returning it to CLT, prices at all three are about the same, whether I use a Costco or AARP discount code. If we picked up at CLT and returned to GSP, Budget would be cheapest (in fact, the only one that wouldn't charge more for that one-way rental).

I like Alamo. I have their card so I usually dont have to talk to anyone except the guard on the way out. No having do get the 'upsell'.

Alamo has had some really inexpensive rentals recently that have met my needs very nicely in Chicago and Milwaukee.
Budget is now a division of Avis and deserves consideration.
A few years ago, Enterprise was caught deliberately ordering Chevy Impalas without side curtain air bags to save money. I cut up my Enterprise card, mailed it back, and will not rent from them for any price ever again.

Enterprise now owns Alamo and National (http://www.enterpriseholdings.com/). The Enterprise fleet managers are now responsible for the Alamo and National fleets.

I like them about the same. The only advantage to using Alamo and Budget is that you can get miles with them. Enterprise doesn't allow that.
I have had mostly good experiences with Alamo, decent experiences with Budget, and mostly good experiences with Enterprise. The Enterprise in my local neighborhood sucks, but that's just that particular branch. I do like that Alamo allows you to use a machine and bypass the line if you do everything online.
Sorry for commenting on an old thread. My main beef with Budget is that when applying discount codes or coupons, you never know what the effect is of the discount, it it was applied, or how much it adjusted the rate.
With Alamo, the rate adjustment is immediately apparent.
