Trying to get some help. I would like you guys to recommend me a decent hotel in NYC going with my loved one. We are going for 5 nights and our budget is around 200-250 a night. Dates are Dec. 1 to the 6
Thanks

Last year, I considered the Friends and Family rate available to flyertalk for holiday inn/Crown plaza/Intercontinental properties at Times Square in NYC. If I recall correctly, it was in that price range.
Crown Plaza. Times Square has been nice to me during multiple stays there.
Also tripadvisor.com is your friend for recent hotel reviews.

Bring a flashlight: the lighting in that hotel's rooms is the worst I have ever encountered. You may also want to bring shin guards for when you crack your legs into the sides of the bed; there's about a foot of space to walk in. (Yes, almost all hotel rooms in NY are small, but the W's are egregiously small for the prices they charge.)
You got a good price for the location you're in, but that W is one of the least satisfying hotels I've ever stayed at in NY. Anyway, you're stuck with it now, so just be prepared.
