Hilton HHonors - Hilton Petaling Jaya Malaysia & Hilton Singapore

I am a diamond.

But when i check into this hotel, they only gave me upgrade one catagory instead of to the executive floor. There is no issue of availability at the executive floor. THey insisted that is their policy. Any one has similar experience?

Another instance i gave free nights to friend who checked into Hilton singapore. He has to pay for the government tax calculated at the rate booked. I have never been charged taxes by the other hilton hotels in any of the free stays.Anyone has any similar experience?

NLL - guess the staff at the PJ Hilton must have read your posting about what you did with the Hilton Kuching staff!!!?!

Why don't you just pay for the upgrade...its only 400RM for a room on the executive floor! and its well worth it...the guy on the executive floor (I think his name is Azim?) is a really nice guy who will be a great help. The evening spread is not bad either.

Hilton PJ can be like that, did you checkin downstairs or in the exec clubroom?

i have had that happen to me downstairs, what i suggest you do, is demand as a diamond you receive an exec floor room. They will generally accomodate you if you really do want a room, you may get allocated a smoking room, but it's still better than something else, the smoking rooms haven't been really renovated though on the top floor... they will oblige though if u ask them to look a little bit harder.

Alternatively, just checkin on the exec clubroom.
