I will be connecting SAN-JFK on AA to JFK-TLV on LY. What is a reasonable conection time.

How do you earn points on AA flights? can they put my matmid number on the boarding pass?

Lasr question, do I have to collect and check the luggage in JFK?

American Airlines has an interline agreement with El Al, so you can check your bags through to TLV.

Interline E-Ticketing Agreements (http://www.aa.com/i18n/agency/Booking_Ticketing/eticketing/AA_electronic_ticketing.jsp#Interline E-ticketing Agreements)

Conditions of Carriage (http://www.aa.com/i18n/customerService/customerCommitment/conditionsOfCarriage.jsp)American will act as an agent to issue tickets, check baggage and book reservations for transportation via other carriers which have interline agreements with American.

Just to make sure - Are you traveling on a single ticket SAN-JFK-TLV? Or did you purchase SAN - JFK separately and JFK - TLV separately?

1. Your AA flight would arrive in Terminal 8 and LY departs from Terminal 4. This means you have to exit the secure area in T8, take the air train to T4 and then re-clear security. And T4 in the evening time can be a bit crowded as a lot of international flights depart around that time. To be on the safer side, I would make sure I have at least 2 - 3 hours connecting time.

2. You can either go online and enter you Matmid number or enter it when you check-in online. If not, you can always give it to the check-in agent, who will enter the FFP and it would be printed on your AA boarding pass too.

3. As mentioned above, AA and EY have interline baggage agreement. So you can check-in your bags at SAN and it goes all the way to TLV.

Thanks for the answers.

Both flights are on one ticket.

Is there a priority line for security? I hope to be arriving on AA domestic F and leaving on LY C

There is a kinda priority security line. There is a line that allows you to go quickly to where they verify your boarding pass, but then you are funneled in with everyone else to go through the balance of TSA security ( shoes off, everything through scanner etc, etc.)

BTW the lounge at JFK is BEFORE security!
