Anyone have any tour companies to suggest? We are going second week of January. Looking for 2-3 hours of whale watching and a sep. snorkeling trip with whale sharks. Might be interested in a private charter for the whale watching. There are 4 and maybe 5 of us.

We've gone out on several dinner cruises focused on whale watching. It's hit or miss relative to seeing whales, and the choices are quite varied as to boat size, party atmosphere, dinner options, etc. Your resort will have a fistful of brochures for you to consider, and the marina is lined with 'em. The cruises can be fun, and the food isn't bad, the drinks flow freely, but whether you see whales is just a big unknown. You can book online ahead of time, but frankly, we've had better luck walking the marina and negotiating with those that are sitting idle. They're everywhere, and they want to strike a deal with you.

We've not tried the snorkeling options, so hope those work out well for you.

Not that you asked, but one place we found for dinner, and we always return, is a restaurant called La Fonda. Tricky to find (on a side street in downtown Cabo) but well worth the effort.

Have a wonderful time. We'll be right behind you in February!

There is a dish at La Fonda called "braised short rib" ... slow cooked for a long time and really very memorable, absolutely melts in your mouth! You'll feel like Fred Flinstone when they bring that baby to your table :)).
