First, let me state I am NOT accusing the Idine people of a security breach....but wanted to ask the question, see if anyone else was having the same problem.

My corporate card was recently compromised, and was used to the tune of over $3000 on what looks like a sweet road trip from CA to Oregon (using an Ipad or 10 for navigation apparently) based on the charges. The same day I notice this and cut the card off, I get an email from Idine (delta version) asking me to "verify my current cards and add cards including my debit cards" to the program. Coincidence, or is there a chance someone's hacked the Idine program and has cards and email accounts?

I got the same updater email today and there are no issues with my cards. Suspect the email is marketing. A likely scenario for your card to get compromised via an iDine participant is misbehavior by an employee. There are several threads around here that recount episodes of card numbers being stolen by employees at hotels etc.
PS, sorry to hear about your troubles, but glad you caught it. Here's hoping you get it cleared up.

I too got the same email, only for my Delta RN account. (I also have Rewards Network accounts for AA, UA, Southwest, and Priority Club, but at this time I didn't get such an email from them, tho probably in the past I have, I don't remember for sure.)

By "verify", they simply mean check to make sure the cards you registered previously are still the ones you're using at restaurants. (I have a friend, for example, who dropped one bank and signed up with another, but for a year forgot to update the debit card number used for dining, and so couldn't earn miles for dining.)

Sorry to hear about your problem, but this is a total coincidence. Since Monday every family member has received one of those emails for each account he/she has with Rewards Network. It's just a mass mailing effort to get you to register additional cards.

If someone hijacks my card, they could at least have the common courtesy to use it at restaurants on the list. Just sayin'...
