finally, you can change online reservations through the website.. yipee!
now if only hilton.com would let you list all the properties in an area on 1 screen WITH the room rates (like Marriott.com)...

I used the change feature yesterday and got a pleasant surprise. I had already booked one night at $161 and wanted to add a second night. The cheapest rate for the second night was $179. I half expected the system to quote me $179 for both nights. Instead, it left the first night at $161 and just added the second at $179.

This might come in handy for someone who knows ahead of time that they want 2 nights with different rates. Instead of booking 2 separate reservations, they might be able to book the first night and then add the second night. As usual, YMMV.

It's just my HO,but I still think the HH website is terrible.

i agree... however, this is a step in the right direction. What I would REALLY like is a list of all hilton properties in a city or area with the room rates - like marriott.com

Anybody know if you can "re-fare" a previous reservation? For instance, yesterday I went online and saw the price for my room had dropped $120, so I ended up cancelling my existing and re-booking a new one. Any ideas if this is supported?

You can. I just did it yesterday for an upcoming reservation and it worked pretty well.

For that, you can do what I usually do - use Orbitz or Travelocity in a separate window, and that way, you can get a generally good idea as to who is charging what for a given date/location.

All that has to be done is to make sure you select the search to narrow down to Hilton brands.

You are far better off if you first make a "new" reservation and THEN cancel the "old" one.
