Is it still the case that one can go from coach to MCS 24 hours before departure, and MCS --> F 6 hours before departure for the cheap?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Virgin America Elevate - C --> F "upgrade" still the sameView Full Version : C --> F "upgrade" still the same ggg05a Nov 14, 11, 12:54 pm Is it still the case that one can go from coach to MCS 24 hours before departure, and MCS --> F 6 hours before departure for the cheap? Thanks! dhuey Nov 19, 11, 9:37 am That was correct a couple weeks ago for me; I haven't heard of any changes since. flyingcat Nov 19, 11, 11:27 pm Cheap is relative The only difference in processing two seperate upgrades from Y to MCS to F vs Y to First is only $1. Its no windfall. ggg05a Nov 20, 11, 4:38 pm Cheap is relative The only difference in processing two seperate upgrades from Y to MCS to F vs Y to First is only $1. Its no windfall. Explain. If I can go from Y --> F for $1 more per seat and I can do it 24 hours before hand sign me up. I always through that until one hit the 6 hour mark before a flight, a MCS --> F upgrade was something like $500 per seat, not the $55 for a half-con flight. (LAX --> DFW) flyingcat Nov 20, 11, 8:59 pm Upgrades into F are available 6 hours out. At 24 hours you can upgrade in MCS. Anything before that is not an upgrade but changing fares which is more expensive. LAX DFW from Y to F is $139 if you upgrade at the 24 hour mark to MCS is it $69 If you upgrade the at the 6 hour mark from MCS to First it is another $69 If you upgrading from Y to first you have to wait until the 6 hour mark and it costs $139 Let review 1. Change fares - $$$$$$$$$$$$$ 2. two upgrade transactions - $69 x2 $138 3. one transaction $139 http://virginamerica.com/vx/fees |
