I thought there might be a few out there who were just short of Ascent or Summit. Glad this may work for you.

Go for it! ^

Just booked a flight to see a friend in SLC. $200 for 8 EQS works for me!

If I booked a flight way back in July for a flight in December, will I still receive this bonus?

Thanks

Yes -- it matters when you fly (as opposed to when you book) and nothing in the promo says it only applies to flights booked going forward.

Cool.

I guess I will have more Frontier miles...

I am not sure what I am going to do with them though. I don't plan on accumulating miles with them necessarily. Points.com sucks but I can take them "to the bank" that way and convert them in to AA miles. Is anyone worried about Frontier airlines being "no more" and all their miles being worthless? Or do you feel they would still exist and just restructure?

Not too worried personally. Then again, I don't have any F9 flights booked beyond mid-December and only have about 14k miles in my account.

If you think you are going to receive a windfall of Frontier miles that you can convert to other airline miles, you will be sorely disappointed. This promo only helps you attain elite status. It doesn't give you more miles to use on future award travel.

Oh, and these miles expire at the end of 2011 don't they?

Oh, and these miles expire at the end of 2011 don't they?Yes. EQM miles are based on a calendar year.

FYI, I received the snail mail for this promo and registered the promo code. I only needed 6 segments to qualify for Summit again, so I thought this was perfect. My mileage from last week's trip has now posted, but no double miles or EQS :( Should we expect a delay? I've since booked another trip and it's disappointing to not get my benefits, like picking free stretch seating, yet. Thankfully, I'll qualify this trip without the promo, but it's frustrating, nonetheless.

I appreciate the link, but my base miles and segments have already posted unlike those for the individual in the other thread. If I have to wait a month for the status upgrade it doesn't really do me any good. At minimum, it would have been nice to have for when I booked my next trip so that I wouldn't have to wait until the day I check in to see if stretch seating is still available. Honestly, I think it's just not being handled well - it should be automatically applied when the trip information posts.

My Double EQM posted from my trip last Friday!

That's great! Question - did you get double miles and double EQS or just EQM? Maybe that's the disconnect? At least one other person in this thread seems to think so, too. From what I reacall, the letter didn't specify miles only. In fact, I tweeted about the segments, specifcally, and Frontier replied "That's great to hear! We look forward to having you as a Summit Member!" I

needed six segments and my last trip only had four; only four have posted, not the eight I expected. I did plan one more trip (it was unexpected), so I'll get my last two segments, but I would have been pretty irked if I missed it by two due to a nebulously worded promotion.

Double EQMs and Double EQS. Not double accrued miles (reward redemption miles).

I will make Summit as soon as my return trip posts (at 26 segments now, 2 more x 2 will be 30), which I would expect to happen in a few days.

Well, then grrr... Wonder what's up with mine? Congrats, though!

It was my bad. Turns out I did get double, but only my outbound trip from 12/4 has posted. I just saw "4" EQS and assumed it was for the entire trip without paying closer attention to the dates. My return trip from 12/10 has not posted yet. I might need to cancel my 12/18 trip, though, and hope it posts in enough time that I can cancel/change for free if I need to do so.

Awesome! Thanks for the update.

Now to hunt down some cheap fares..

EDIT: Does this also apply to Elite Qualifying Segments? I'm only seeing miles mentioned..

I believe it counts for segments as well. It did last year, which is how I got Summit.

Thanks. I was hoping that was the case again. Now to see if I can make a segment run to Summit in the next few weeks..

Promo code wasn't working for me this afternoon when I booked. It's a short flight at the end of the year, so not a huge deal, but weird nonetheless.

You don't put this in at booking. Go to the link, and you put your FF# and the promo code in and it will work for any flights in December, even if you already booked.

Double Elite Qualifying Miles (EQM) posted to my account from Dec 1st flight. Only received 1 segment, so I guess we will not get Double Elite Qualifying Segments (EGS) this year.
