Hilton HHonors - New Amex card + 4 stays = Gold?

Having done a few searches I noticed several references saying that getting a HHonors Amex Card, plus 4 stays (within 90 days?) will get you Gold status. However, I can't find any documentation of this on the Amex or HHonors sites - can anyone provide?

It says right there on the application form. If you've been receiving your HHonors statement by mail, they occassionally slip you an application, which can be found on the left hand side. I didn't realize it's not on the website, but then again what is these days?

I have not received any statements by mail yet, so I never received such an application form. I got the card via the web a month ago - no mention anywhere of this feature. Could this be a targeted offer that you received, or do you think it is general?

I have the app form in front of me. Got your e-mail and will scan the app once I get in the office tomorrow.

When I got my Amex card a year and a half ago, it said the same thing (Fast Track to Gold in 4 stays). When I called AMEX, they said I had to call HHonors. HHonors said they don't know anything about that without a promo code.

I emailed HHonors customer service, and they automatically upgraded me to gold without 4 stays.

So if you have any problems with the promotion, direct it to HHonors and they may just upgrade you anyway.
