Flying business back from Rio to JFK. Got to the lounge 3 hours before for a long day of work and was looking forward to the shower in the lounge.

Got to the lounge to find that is a some rinkydink room, packed, with barely any AC. And then, I found out that their shower isn't working!!! I asked the agent, Pamela, why? She said, it's just not working. I asked to speak with the manager, she said none, and asked why? I said, I wanted to make a complaint. She asked why bother? It is what it is! Uh... That's the stupidest customer service I have heard! But... It gets better! I asked to have the customer service phone number, Ashe told me to go look it up online!! Are o f'ing kidding me?

I went next door to the SMILE lounge, operated bu GOL. Much much better, even if I had to pay for it. No way wil I ever fly this stupid airline again! And I will tell everyone who cares to listen this story!

If this is the worst thing that happens..

Perhaps the manager had popped out to the nearest home improvement store for some shower parts ;)

LOL, gotta laugh at some comments. I guess showers only go out-of-order in Brazil, and a poorly trained indifferent agent is virtually unheard of anywhere else in the world...

And as much as I dislike TAM, I do not think it is any worse than the other companies flying this route.

I would imagine some of these issues would change once the merger is complete.

It always interests me why someone will want to go to the airport early just to be able to take a shower, or whilst in transit connecting flights.

I might be tempted to have one during a long connection and put on a fresh top although I never took one at SIN on a SYD-LHR flight as I would have got more sweaty rushing to make the connection. On that occasion a cold wet flannel on the face and body was just as effective.

It's those who take a bath I can never understand.

To be at one's best. I regularly make use of the showers in the ORD Admiral's Club when traveling to/from Europe.
