Texas - DFW: Why Candy Store at Kid Play Area?

At DFW, near gate B13, there's a nice kids play area set-up by the airport...and right next to it, is a counter selling ONLY candy!

For an airport re-branding itself as re-defined (to use their own terminology in the terminal), this just looks bad!

Hopefully, the airport is charging this candy counter some higher rent for such a prime placement!

Private enterprise! Airport wants vendors that will make money, stay and pay rent. McDonald's have play areas, and they also hardly foster healthy eating. Supermarkets often have candy near the check-out stand. If you are sufficiently upset, I suggest writing to the airport's administration.

Why sell $6 bottles of water next to the "free hot sauce samples"?

Some questions do not need to be asked...
