Hi team,
I found a return ticket SYDNANSYD in F for AUD615 in January next year which is a pretty good deal. (via matrix search engine)
However, when trying to book the flight through my travel agent we are not able to book the ticket on the rule that we want, as it is 'locked'.
Does anyone have a good tip which number to call in Virgin and if they would price match my search result?
Thank you very much. Appreciate your advice.
Kind Regards
Maki

No airline offers an F cabin SYD NAN SYD. Air Pacific only have business class, and I believe Pacific Blue only have Premier Economy.

From http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/your-questions/class-codes-for-virgin-blue-26572.html
F = Go! Fare
R = Blue Saver (Most common code)
Y = Corporate Plus
W = Premium Economy

Yes there is another thread here of recent times on that.
What an idiotic bucket to call your super discount class. :mad:

When you don't HAVE "First" (like NZ and DJ).. where's the harm? :D

As many may see seats on a booking engine in "F" and assume anything booked into that (like a Star RTW fare in First - F) will be allocated a business seat at least if no First cabins exist.
I'd normally assume I'd get miles, and maybe a bonus mile cut, on something booked in "F" as it appears to be a premium class.
There are 26 letters in the Alphabet last time I looked, and leaving A and F out of super cheapie buckets makes perfect common sense.

Thanks for the clarification guys. I have tried calling Virgin to book this deal but no luck, same answer from my TA, says he can see the fare but can not select.
If I have any luck with this, I will let you know.
Cheers
