Finally, Raleigh-Durham can start new light rail and they approved it. Hopefully it will be completion sometime in year of 2018 through 2025.

According of the light rail corridor map.

I bet lots of those people are exciting to take on light rail.

Yeah this passed yesterday over my strong objections, I voted No. The rental car company I run has been charging 16% tax to its customers since the late 90's when we first passed a tax increase to connect Raleigh to Durham via rail. Nothing has happened in that interim so where has all the revenue gone?

RDU is just jealous of ours.

I think my 2035 the Charlotte light rail might actually go somewhere. Currently it's only useful for a fraction of commuters into uptown. Also the X ride passes don't work on the light rail (since nothing validates the pass to use a ride) so if I bought a 10 ride pass I would have to shell out $1.75 to ride the light rail. Enforcement has ticked up so I would not take the risk of not buying a ticket.
